Job Title: RN UP - Adv Care

Job Summary: The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients for a designated time frame. The RN provides care using the nursing process, current trends, technology, and available resources within the institution's philosophy. Responsibilities include performing unit-specific duties, implementing procedures, maintaining accurate documentation, completing initial assessments, developing and modifying care plans, ensuring patient and employee safety, and collaborating with colleagues for professional development. The RN also monitors EMU patients 24/7 for seizure activity, ensures effective communication with patients and families, and works with critical care teams and hospitalists for Advanced Care patients.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience
- ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing)
- Illinois state RN License in good standing
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
