Description
Required: RNs must have one year of inpatient experience minimum in the related department with the trauma level shown below
Required: One year of travel experience is preferred but will consider six months’ travel
Required: All Candidates are expected to Float as needed
Required - 26-week contracts with guaranteed 48 hours/week. Previous work in Children's only hospital preferred
Job Title: Respiratory Care Practitioner RRT - Peds - FS

Job Summary: Under general supervision, the Respiratory Care Practitioner will provide services for the Respiratory Therapy Department in a timely and efficient manner for all appropriate age levels and in all areas served by the department. Responsibilities include administering therapeutic treatments, recording treatment information, performing diagnostic testing, providing age-appropriate care, maintaining respiratory equipment, and participating in quick response teams for cardiac and respiratory arrests.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program
- Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association upon hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (American Heart Association) within 3 months of hire
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential within 12 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting
Additional Information:
- Knowledge of procedures and techniques of Respiratory Therapy
- Ability to operate and repair respiratory equipment
- Clinical decision-making skills related to pulmonary and cardiac systems
- Ability to interpret patient needs and provide appropriate care
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work under stress
- Basic computer skills
