Description

Job Title: Rad Tech 2 - CMH Cardiovascular Invasive

Location: Not specified

Job Summary: The Rad Tech 2 assists cardiologists in performing invasive and diagnostic/interventional cardiac, vascular, and electrophysiologic procedures. Responsibilities include technical hemodynamic monitoring, interpretation using automated techniques, and providing patient care. The role involves operating electrical/imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, maintaining aseptic techniques, and collaborating with healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum three (3) years of applicable experience
Knowledge of hemodynamic concepts, cardiac anatomy and physiology
Competency in moderate sedation administration and policy protocol
Knowledge of EP concepts, theory, and fluoroscopic anatomy
Ability to recognize and assist in treating complications from procedures
Proficiency in sterile table setup and patient preparation
Knowledge of radiation safety and imaging equipment
Advanced EKG interpretation and arrhythmia recognition
Basic computer knowledge (word processing, spreadsheet, email, web browser)
Multicultural sensitivity

Required Education:

Associate's Degree in a related field OR Certificate of completion for Radiology Program

Required Certifications & Licensure:

IEMA (Illinois state) License in Rad Technology
BLS (American Heart Association)
ACLS (American Heart Association)
ARRT Registration in Radiology
