Job Title: Rad Tech 2 - CMH Cardiovascular Invasive
Location: Not specified
Job Summary: The Rad Tech 2 assists cardiologists in performing invasive and diagnostic/interventional cardiac, vascular, and electrophysiologic procedures. Responsibilities include technical hemodynamic monitoring, interpretation using automated techniques, and providing patient care. The role involves operating electrical/imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, maintaining aseptic techniques, and collaborating with healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum three (3) years of applicable experience
- Knowledge of hemodynamic concepts, cardiac anatomy and physiology
- Competency in moderate sedation administration and policy protocol
- Knowledge of EP concepts, theory, and fluoroscopic anatomy
- Ability to recognize and assist in treating complications from procedures
- Proficiency in sterile table setup and patient preparation
- Knowledge of radiation safety and imaging equipment
- Advanced EKG interpretation and arrhythmia recognition
- Basic computer knowledge (word processing, spreadsheet, email, web browser)
- Multicultural sensitivity
Required Education:
- Associate's Degree in a related field OR Certificate of completion for Radiology Program
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- IEMA (Illinois state) License in Rad Technology
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- ARRT Registration in Radiology
