Required: One year of travel experience is preferred but will consider six months’ travel

Job Summary: Under immediate to general supervision, provides technical assistance in the capacity of an Endoscopic Technician to assist with the endoscopic procedures performed in an operating or procedure room. Responsible for receiving and distributing endoscopes for procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • One (1) year of experience as a surgical technologist in a healthcare setting OR relevant healthcare experience.
  • Experience reprocessing endoscopes.
  • Ability to write clearly and understand written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to operate computer and other equipment required for the job.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs to audio and video equipment.
  • Ability to use audio/video equipment to record surgical procedures.
  • Ability to operate Steris and autoclave equipment and to wrap instruments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experienced endoscopy procedure technician, including advanced procedures (ERCP, EUS, POEM, EMR).
  • Epic and Provation experience preferred.

Required Education:

  • High school diploma or GED.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

  • Technician certification from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) as a Certified Endoscopic Reprocessor (CER).

Preferred Certifications & Licensure:

  • SGNA Technician Training or CST preferred.

Additional Information:

  • 4x10 hour shifts with call requirement.
  • No scope reprocessing required.
  • Level 1 Trauma.
