Mammography Tech Job Summary The Mammography Technologist performs radiographic mammography procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic films for detecting breast tissue abnormalities. This role requires independent judgment, creativity, and initiative while performing advanced procedures such as stereotactic biopsies, clip placements, and drainages. The technologist ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares patients for exams while maintaining compliance with JCAHO and Utah State Bureau of Radiation Control standards. Required Qualifications <ul><li>Demonstrates positioning competency.</li><li>Knowledgeable regarding breast self-examinations, including answering questions and providing written materials to patients.</li><li>Physical capabilities: lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, speaking, standing, walking.</li></ul> Preferred Qualifications <ul><li>Experience in Imaging or Mammography.</li></ul> Required Certifications &amp; Licensure <ul><li>ARRT registration.</li><li>Current Rad Tech license in the state of practice.</li><li>ARRT Advanced Mammography Certification.</li><li>Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.</li><li>Mammography-specific ACR FDA/MQSA requirements.</li></ul> Radiation Badge Requirement <ul><li>A personal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) is required for this assignment.</li><li>Providers are encouraged to use an existing badge from a previous employer or assignment when available.</li><li>If a new badge is issued, prior exposure history will not be reflected.</li></ul> QUALIFICATION/LICENSURE Work Authorization : US Citizen Preferred years of experience : 1 years Travel required : No travel required Shift timings :
