Job Title: Occupational Therapist Assistant

Location: California

Contract Length: Assigned shift during department operating hours, including rotation of weekend and holiday coverage.

Job Summary: The Occupational Therapist Assistant works under the management supervision of the Rehabilitation Services Supervisor and Practice Manager. Under the general supervision of a certified occupational therapist, the assistant administers assigned patient treatments, assists with treatment planning, prepares and transmits written and verbal communication of patient progress, supervises students and volunteers as assigned, and ensures compliance with departmental guidelines and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum Associate of Science degree from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant program.
• Current California Occupational Therapy Assistant license or Occupational Therapy Assistant License Applicant status.
• Current AHA or equivalent BLS certification.
• Knowledge of existing laws and regulations governing the practice of Occupational Therapy.
• Ability to provide appropriate care for patients across Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric age groups.

Preferred Qualifications:

• One-year experience in an acute hospital or outpatient clinic setting.
