Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person, creating a caring environment focused on healing and wellness. Nursing practices are evidence-based and adhere to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines. The RN coordinates and provides direct patient care activities, including nursing rounds, assessments, treatments, admissions, transfers, discharges, patient and family education, care coordination, and individualized treatment planning. The unit specializes in ortho/neuro/telemetry.

Required Qualifications:

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certification.
• Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation
• ADN or ASN degree.
• No prior experience required.
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with care team members.
• Knowledge of computer systems and applications or ability to be trained.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN degree.
• Previous nursing experience.
