Surgical Technologist - Certified

Job Summary:
Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (R.N.), the Surgical Technologist participates in the delivery of patient care to maximize outcomes in alignment with the hospital’s and department’s mission and professional practice standards. The role ensures safe patient care during surgical procedures through effective planning and implementation. Priority is given to candidates specializing in spine surgeries.

Required Qualifications:
 

• Graduate of an accredited school for surgical technologies
• Current certification as a Surgical Technologist
• Current CPR certification – BLS for Healthcare Providers per the American Heart Association Guidelines

Preferred Qualifications:
 

• Prior experience in pediatrics
• Prior experience as a Surgical Technologist
• Experience with spine and complex orthopedic surgeries

Additional Information:
 

• Demonstrated skill in interpersonal communication with patients, families, coworkers, and physicians
• Interest in working with children and adolescents with disabilities and their families
• Physical ability to transport patients
