Description

Clinical Technician, Dialysis

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of nursing staff, the Clinical Technician is responsible for monitoring and providing direct care to patients undergoing hemodialysis. This role involves ongoing patient monitoring, communication with interdisciplinary team members, and adherence to infection control policies. The technician will also assist in emergency situations, reinforce patient education, and document patient care and observations.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Dialysis clinical technician certification required. Certification must be obtained within 18 months of hire if not already certified.
  • Certification must be maintained in accordance with federal regulations and CMS-approved programs.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate’s Degree in science.
  • Previous dialysis experience.

Additional Information:
  • Must pass a color vision test.
  • Ability to respond to audible alarms is required.
  • Demonstrates willingness to work effectively in a complex and changing environment.
  • Adheres to confidentiality and HIPAA safety and privacy requirements.
  • Completes all required in-services and online education.
