Job Summary:
Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care. The RN evaluates health status through ongoing collection and assessment of health data, provides health teaching and counseling, and delivers therapy and treatment that supports life and well-being. Duties may involve direct patient care or indirect support through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching. The RN executes delegated medical functions, refers patients for further evaluation or treatment, reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans, and documents in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines. Promotes the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health and adheres to service behavior standards. Additional responsibilities may include floating to other departments within scope and qualifications or being placed on-call during scheduled shifts.

Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN).
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- ACLS/NRP/PALS certifications as appropriate for unit or service.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Certification as appropriate for unit or service.
