Radiology Specialist- X-Ray Tech

Job Summary:
Performance of exceptional quality routine and specialized radiographic procedures at the request of a licensed independent practitioner for interpretation by radiologists. The Specialist integrates scientific knowledge, technical skills, patient interaction, and compassionate care resulting in diagnostic information. They recognize patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. The Specialist must demonstrate a detailed understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Radiographers must maintain a high degree of accuracy in radiographic positioning and exposure technique.
Required Qualifications:
- Technical diploma: Graduate of a formal diagnostic Radiology program
- R-ARRT - ARRT RegTech Radiography (American Registry of Radiology Technologists)
- CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist (Texas Medical Board)
- 3 years of Radiology experience (any/all modalities)
- Basic life support and medical terminology understanding
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Radiology physics and procedures
- Understanding of Radiology principles for ages 0 – adulthood
- Operation and troubleshooting of required equipment, including automated processors, copying/digitizing film equipment, R.I.S., and PACS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to independently scan patients following established protocols
Additional Information:
- Day Shift: 7:30am-5pm
- R-ARRT and CMRT certification required
