Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in Oncology is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs. Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying patient needs and determining priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Developing, implementing, and coordinating individualized plans of care for patients through initial and ongoing assessments.
- Performing therapeutic nursing interventions and managing patient care.
- Advocating for evidence-based practice care standards and supporting the adoption of innovations in care delivery.
- Providing patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice models.
- Documenting care based on standards of practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of experience in acute adult oncology, specializing in leukemia and lymphoma, inpatient setting.
- ASN degree.
- BLS certification (AHA).
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.
- Proficiency in IV insertion, phlebotomy, and basic nursing skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN degree.
- Telemetry certification.
- Chemo certification with ONS.

Additional Information:
- Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and Chemo Certification.
