Job Summary:
The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients during a designated time frame. The RN provides care using the nursing process, current nursing trends, technology, and available resources, all within the institution's philosophy. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation of interventions, and continuous evaluation to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The RN also ensures patient and employee safety, maintains accurate documentation, and actively participates in professional development.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum one (1) year of relevant nursing experience.
• Fluency in reading, writing, comprehending, and speaking English.
• Basic computer knowledge, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and web browsing.
• Multicultural sensitivity.
• Critical thinking skills and the ability to make independent decisions.

Required Education:

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).

Preferred Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Illinois state RN License in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
