Description

Job Title: Ultrasound Technician II

Location: Not specified

Job Summary:
As an Ultrasound Technician II, you will be responsible for performing and documenting ultrasound procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality imaging standards. This role involves operating complex ultrasound equipment, coordinating schedules, maintaining cleanliness and supplies, and providing technical and nursing aid during procedures. You will also contribute to training new sonographers, evaluating new equipment, and participating in diagnostic reading sessions with physicians. The position requires effective communication and collaboration with hospital staff and other healthcare providers.

Required Qualifications:
• ARDMS certification
• BLS certification
• Vascular and OB experience

Preferred Qualifications:
• Completion of an accredited ultrasonic training program
• Two (2) years of paid ultrasound experience or equivalent

Additional Information:
• Ability to provide care for patients across all age groups, including newborns, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Proficiency in using ancillary devices such as oscilloscopes, cameras, and video recorders
• Strong organizational skills to maintain logs, schedules, and billing systems
