Job Summary:
Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, evaluating health status through ongoing data collection, performing health teaching and counseling, and providing therapy and treatment to support life and well-being. The role also involves executing delegated medical functions, referring patients for further evaluation or treatment, reviewing and monitoring therapy plans, and documenting in compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines. Nurses may be required to float to other departments or be placed on-call during scheduled shifts.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN).
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- ACLS/NRP/PALS certifications as appropriate for unit or service.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Certification as appropriate for unit or service.
