Job Summary:
Provides assessment, treatment, and education in the areas of independent living, community reintegration, functional cognitive retraining, upper extremity function, perceptual activities, assistive equipment, and splinting/positioning mechanics. Evaluates patients, schedules and establishes appropriate treatment goals along with anticipated outcomes, and delivers skilled physical assessments and treatments effectively. Delegates and supervises effectively within the scope of authority to students, assistants, and technicians. Reassesses patient progress, revises treatment plans, and modifies goals when appropriate. Promotes the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health and abides by service behavior standards. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- One (1) year of related experience, preferably in a clinic setting.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school.
- Current/valid state Occupational Therapist licensure.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Certified Hand Therapist (CHT).
- Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) endorsed by the American Heart Association.
