Job Title: Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer
Job Summary:
In this position, the Sonographer performs Ultrasound procedures to obtain desired imaging results according to physician specifications. Responsibilities include transferring patients for examinations, assisting with the Ultrasound examination process, and ensuring high-quality imaging results.
Required Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of experience in general and vascular ultrasound (excluding ABIs and segmental pressure; no echo or breast).
- Associate’s degree.
- ARDMS registry certification.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in computer usage, including the Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn relevant applications.
Additional Information:
- Practices sterile technique and follows infection prevention policies.
- Coordinates Ultrasound examinations to ensure timeliness, quality, and continuity of patient care.
- Submits required images and related clinical information to the Radiologist for interpretation.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects and meet deadlines.
