Angio/Interventionalist

Job Summary:
Responsible for completing angiography procedures, scrubbing, setting techniques, and taking images. The role involves ensuring proper patient identification, adhering to radiation safety guidelines, and maintaining a safe working environment. The Angio/Interventionalist will provide procedural assistance, operate IR equipment, and coordinate patient care while maintaining accurate documentation.

Required Qualifications:
 

• One (1) to Two (2) years of vascular or interventional experience.
• Recognizes emergent patient situations and responds appropriately.
• Ability to function independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with other caregivers and patients.
• Demonstrates understanding of anatomy, anatomic terminology, and positioning competency.
• Knowledge and adherence to infection control and sterile techniques.
• Demonstrates knowledge in patient education and competency in patient care.
• Experience in radiography and operating imaging equipment.
• Ability to maintain accurate documentation.
• Experience in vascular procedures and performing angiography procedures.
• Ability to provide life support in emergency situations.
• Proper use of body mechanics during procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:
 

• One (1) to Two (2) years of Angio/Interventional experience.
• Vascular/Interventional Radiography Certification.
• Relevant State Licensure and/or Certifications.

Required Certifications & Licensure:
 

• ARRT (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support.

Preferred Certifications & Licensure:
 

• Vascular/Interventional Radiography Certification.
• Relevant State Licensure and/or Certifications.

Additional Information:
 

• A personal radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter) is required for this assignment.
• Providers are encouraged to use an existing badge from a previous employer or assignment when available.
• If a new badge is issued, prior exposure history will not be reflected.
