Sterile Processing Tech

Job Summary
The Sterile Processing Tech is responsible for assembling, cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and storing procedure trays, surgical trays, and equipment. This role involves distributing medical equipment and supplies to meet the needs of the Operating Room, Nursing Units, Ancillary Departments, and Clinics. The position requires operating and monitoring sterilization equipment, maintaining records, and ensuring proper instrument tracking. Additional responsibilities include providing on-the-job training to new associates, responding to emergency situations, and promoting the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team.
- Experience and understanding in the use of computers and relevant software.
- Ability to function successfully in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
- Regular attendance during scheduled shifts.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinic operating room.

Additional Information
- May be required to work overtime, float to other departments, or be placed on-call during scheduled shifts.
