Required: RNs must have one year of inpatient experience minimum in the related department with the trauma level shown below
Required: One year of travel experience is preferred but will consider six months’ travel
Required: All Candidates are expected to Float as needed.
Job Title: Level I Monitor Technician
Job Summary:
Under general supervision, the Monitor Technician I is responsible for monitoring telemetry set up on patients. This role involves ensuring accurate data collection, maintaining alarm settings, and assisting in troubleshooting monitor equipment. The technician will alert staff during patient crises and perform ECGs as needed.
Required Qualifications:
• Current Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of basic arrhythmia interpretations and performing ECG tracings.
• Good computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with staff.
Additional Information:
• Responsible for monitoring patients after nursing staff attach them to telemetry units.
• Ensure accurate date/time printout on rhythm strips.
• Provide daily printouts of each patient’s rhythm strip.
• Maintain supplies for the monitor area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
