Job Summary:
The RN implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness. Nursing practices are based on evidence and current research as well as hospital and department policies and procedures, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines. Clinical decision-making incorporates all four phases of the nursing process, critical thinking, and creativity. Nursing excellence is promoted through helping relationships among nursing staff and across other disciplines. Coordinating, ensuring, and providing direct patient care activities on the unit through nursing rounds, assessments, treatments, facilitating admission, transfer, and discharge activities, patient and family-centered education, care coordination, and individualized treatment planning.

Required Qualifications:
- No prior experience required.
- Proficiency in administering medications, performing medical procedures such as wound care and IV therapy, and utilizing medical equipment and technology.
- Strong assessment skills, critical thinking abilities, and the capacity to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective, clear, and respectful communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and provide clear explanations to patients and their families.
- Deep understanding of medical terminology, disease processes, and healthcare regulations.
- Empathy and adaptability to meet the complex needs of patients while upholding professional standards of nursing practice.

Required Education:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).

Preferred Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, ACLS.
