Occupational Therapist NICU

Job Summary:
Works under the supervision of the Rehab Supervisor and Manager of Rehabilitation Services. Provides Occupational Therapy interventions to patients per referral, including assessment, care planning, educating patients and families regarding treatment plans, progress, and prognosis, scheduling, recording treatment information, and issuing appropriate adaptive equipment. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the unit. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
- California Occupational Therapy license.
- Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status as per American Heart Association standards.
- Minimum of 3 years of Occupational Therapy experience.
- At least 1 year of NICU experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CCS Case Management.
- Familiarity with durable medical equipment and fine motor skill development.

Additional Information:
- Must have NICU experience.
- Regularly assumes duties of Charge Therapist.
- Assists in orientation of new employees and volunteers.
- Instructs and evaluates therapy students during clinical affiliations.
- Adheres to established hospital safety standards.
