Job Title: RN - ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary:
Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care. The RN evaluates health status through ongoing collection and assessment of health data, performs health teaching and counseling, and provides therapy and treatment that is supportive and restorative to life and well-being. Additional duties include executing delegated medical functions, referring patients for further evaluation or treatment, reviewing and monitoring therapy and treatment plans, and documenting in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines. The RN may be required to float to other departments within their scope of competency and qualifications based on business needs or be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN).
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- ACLS/NRP/PALS certifications as appropriate for unit or service.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Certification as appropriate for unit or service.
