Job Title: Histotechnologist I

Job Summary:
Performs routine and special Histology procedures requiring technical skill, judgment, and independent decision-making following established standards, policies, and procedures. Maintains strict confidentiality of work-related information and works effectively with patients, the public, and other healthcare professionals.
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- At least one year of laboratory work experience.
- Ability to operate Histology instrumentation and make sound decisions under stressful conditions and time constraints.
- Capability to organize workflow and communicate clearly.
- Proficiency in using office equipment such as telephones, fax machines, and computer terminals.

Additional Information:
- Frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, and stooping.
- May require lifting or moving items up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue, and possible exposure to infectious materials.
