Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) protects, promotes, and optimizes health and abilities, prevents illness and injury, and alleviates suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response and advocacy in the care of individuals and families. The RN is responsible for compliance with all standards of practice and professional development in accordance with the New York State Nurse Practice Act, United Health Services and Nursing Division policies, ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, the Emergency Nursing Association Scope and Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the Bill of Patient Rights. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment for patient-centered care.

Required Qualifications:
• Associate's degree from an accredited school of Nursing
• Current New York State Registered Nurse License
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross)
• Unit-specific requirements listed in the Compliance Matrix

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
• Professional certification in a related nursing specialty
• Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting
