Job Title: RN - Extended Care

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in Extended Care utilizes an interpersonal process that focuses on the individual within their family, culture, and society. The RN employs the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide comprehensive care. Acting as a resident advocate, the RN ensures residents and their representatives have adequate information to make health decisions, coordinates total care, and works with residents to achieve or maintain their highest practicable level of function. Guided by specialized knowledge of nursing based on physiological and psychological sciences, the RN ensures the quality of resident care meets legal and professional standards while serving as a role model for other healthcare team members.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN required).
- Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Ability to read and write at a level sufficient to fulfill documentation requirements.
- Physical ability to lift objects over 100 lbs. and frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in standing, walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, filing, typing, talking, hearing, and color vision.
