Description

Job Title: Orthopedic Technician, Sr

Location: Kirby and Main Campus

Contract Length: Varies (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM)

Job Summary: The Orthopedic Technician, Sr is responsible for providing excellent customer service and assisting the patient care team by applying casts, splints, and performing basic hardware maintenance during patient visits. This role involves operational assistance, patient intake coordination, and ensuring efficient clinic operations. The technician educates families on cast maintenance and skin care, manages clinic supplies, and communicates effectively with the orthopedic team.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 years of experience in basic casting, splinting, and hardware maintenance
  • Knowledge of aseptic techniques, orthopedic instrumentation, hardware, equipment, and procedures
  • Familiarity with pediatric development stages and related medical terminology
  • Proficiency in operating personal computers and clinic/patient care equipment
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal communication, and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pediatric experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English

Additional Information:

  • Pay range: $16/hr - $24/hr
  • Benefits may include stipends, medical, dental, vision, 401K, and other applicable incentives
