Job Summary: The Registered Professional Nurse provides safe, competent, quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients and their significant others. This role involves delivering patient care through the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care, utilizing the nursing process, evidence-based practices, and approved organizational standards. The RN collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, educates patients and caregivers, and ensures a therapeutic relationship with patients and families. Additionally, the RN actively participates in quality and safety practices, process improvement strategies, and professional development.
Required Qualifications:
- Active NYS RN License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Minimum 2 years of Telemetry and Med-Surg experience
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- 1 year of travel nursing experience for travel positions
Preferred Qualifications:
- EPIC experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Associate degree in nursing considered with relevant experience or active matriculation in a BSN program
Additional Information:
- Skills required include Telemetry, Ventilator management, and critical care expertise.
