Job Title: MRI Tech

Job Summary:
Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam. Performs MRI examinations per department protocol while demonstrating proficiency in cross-sectional anatomy and anatomical positioning. Collaborates with radiologists to select appropriate scanning techniques and protocols, administers intravenous contrast material under supervision, and adheres to infection control and sterile techniques. Operates MRI equipment and related systems to produce quality images, troubleshoots equipment issues, and follows safety protocols including the FOUR ZONE concept. Completes all required documentation accurately and maintains compliance with medical necessity, coding, and charging protocols.

Required Qualifications:
- One year of experience in MRI.
- ARRT registered technologist.
- Current Utah State Licensure (for positions in Utah) to administer RX.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
- Post-hire expectations: IV certification competency within three months, controlled substance module within six months, and moderate sedation module within six months (where applicable).

Preferred Qualifications:
- MR registered by ARRT.
