Job Title: RN-Intensive Care Unit
Location: Lexington, KY

Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) implements professional nursing practices centered on the patient as a whole person, creating a caring environment focused on healing and wellness. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, providing patient and family-centered education, and coordinating care. The RN ensures nursing excellence through evidence-based practices, current research, and adherence to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines. Active participation in quality improvement activities and fostering a positive, healing environment are integral to this role.

Required Qualifications:

• ADN or ASN degree.
• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certification.
• No prior experience required.
• Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices.
• Proficiency in computer systems and applications or ability to be trained.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with care team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN degree.
• Previous nursing experience.
• 2 years of permanent nursing experience before traveling.
• Travel experience.
• Recent Neuro ICU experience.
• Well-rounded ICU experience.
• Consistent work history with longer contracts and minimal breaks in service.

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
• BLS certification.
