Job Title: ED RN

Location: Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles.

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary: The ED RN utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. Responsibilities include ensuring safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients. The RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses. Collaboration with the patient/family and healthcare team is essential to coordinate care. The RN administers medication and treatments as prescribed, identifies and meets patient and family learning needs, and assumes clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel. Competency testing and adherence to unit standards are required.

Required Qualifications:

• Two (2) years of current experience in a large ED.
• Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment.
• Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment.
• Must successfully pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test onsite. Failure to pass after two attempts will result in contract cancellation.

Required Education:

• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Epic experience preferred but not required; training available onsite.
