Description

Sterile Processing Technician

Job Summary
Responsible for the decontamination, preparation, packaging, and sterilization of surgical instruments and patient care equipment. The role requires familiarity with packaging materials, wrapping techniques, and sterilization methods for instrument sets and trays. Candidates must be able to stand for prolonged periods and handle heavy lifting and pushing of trays and sterilization carts.

Required Qualifications

Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or CBSPD certification
High School Diploma
3+ years of experience
Proficiency with Orthopedics and Neuro instruments
Basic computer skills
Ability to read, write, and understand English

Preferred Qualifications

10+ years of experience

Skills

General knowledge of surgical instruments and patient care equipment
Competence in operating sterilizers
Teamwork and collaboration
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
