Job Title: MRI Technician

Job Summary:
As an MRI Technician, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to capture high-quality images of specified areas of a patient’s body. You will ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures, communicate effectively with patients, and adhere to established protocols. This role requires critical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of Accredited Radiology Program
• NJ State RT License
• MR Certified
• BLS Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-3 years’ experience as an MRI Technician
• Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication skills
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel
• Ability to read and interpret documents
• Ability to work independently

Additional Information:

• Position patient on examining table and place specified coil (receiver) close to the area of interest, following protocols requested by Radiologist
• Demonstrate use of microphone for patient-technologist communication during examination
• Enter patient data and scan specifications into the computer
• Monitor patient safety and comfort through control room window and closed-circuit TV
• Ensure quality of images displayed on video screen
• Alert staff entering magnet room about the dangers of metal near the magnet
• Other duties as assigned
