Occupational Therapist
Job Summary:
The WelbeHealth Occupational Therapist is responsible for coordinating and providing restorative and rehabilitative Occupational Therapy services to participants at the Center and at home. The Occupational Therapist works closely with the PACE Physician, rehabilitation staff, and other interdisciplinary team (IDT) members to maximize participant independence and safety, as well as enhance performance of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs). This role collaborates with the Physical Therapist to efficiently operate the WelbeHealth rehabilitation department, is a member of the WelbeHealth management team, and facilitates collaborative relationships across WelbeHealth and with external stakeholders to promote the WelbeHealth values, team culture, and mission.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of Occupational Therapy experience in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population.
- Highly motivated, inspirational leader who can innovatively engage, support, and remove barriers for the team to ensure consistent goal achievement.
- Occupational Therapy knowledge and skills necessary to treat frail, elderly participants with complex needs.
- Two years of supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members.
- Ability to process accurate information in a timely manner.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills in settings with seniors, their families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Experience leading in a data-driven organization, leveraging reports and data to prioritize and manage people and projects.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience and competency working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Commitment to unlocking the full potential of our most vulnerable seniors.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an Accredited Program (AOTA and ACOTE standards).
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Initial Registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
- Licensed and/or eligible for Licensure as required in the State of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
