Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is responsible for providing safe, therapeutic, and efficient care to an assigned group of patients. Care is individualized and age-specific, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The RN collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare team members to achieve holistic and individualized goals, ensuring quality outcomes and patient satisfaction. The RN also serves as a patient advocate, promotes education, and adapts care plans to meet diverse needs.

Required Qualifications:

• Active California RN license
• CPR certification
• ACLS certification
• NIH certification
• At least three years of recent RN experience
• At least two years of recent RN experience in a specialty area
• BSN or ADN required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in coordinating patient care activities
• Proficiency in analyzing socio-cultural variables to adapt nursing interventions
• Ability to implement adult-learning theory in patient education
