Description
Requirement: "This is a med/surg unit. Will not accept OR candidates. Must have acute care surgical floor experience. ENT and/or Transplant Experience Preferred
Requirements: Stepdown/PCU experience. Transplant experience preferred. 4W Surgical Transplant is a mixed stepdown and acute care floor which cares for post-surgical kidney, liver and pancreas transplant patients. They also care for pre-transplant patients who are being evaluated for a transplant during their inpatient stay. Patients require close monitoring for infection, rejection, and timely medication delivery. This is NOT a PACU position. The unit is a mix of MS and SD just as the Surgical side is. Any nurse on this floor will either work MS or SD dependent on the availability of nurses. If short and ICU nurses are floated down, they will work the SD patients based on acuity and skill set. Preceptor and charge experience preferred."
Required: RNs must have one year of inpatient experience minimum in the related department with the trauma level shown below
Required: One year of travel experience is preferred but will consider six months’ travel
Required: All Candidates are expected to Float as needed.

Job Summary:
Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments, assists physicians in examinations and minor diagnostic procedures, monitors physiological data, administers medications, and interacts with patients and families regarding care plans and hospital procedures. Delegates tasks to support staff and makes referrals to appropriate personnel as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience.
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
- Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.
- Basic computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
- Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association.
