Description

Job Title: Mammography Tech-Diagnostic

Location: Main campus and satellite facilities

Job Summary:
Produces quality screening and diagnostic mammography films and dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEA) exams. Educates patients regarding procedures and accurately documents completed procedures and codes. Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, addressing concerns and reporting suspected violations. Interacts compassionately and effectively with patients, providing a Five Star experience by reducing anxieties, explaining procedures and equipment, and answering questions.

Required Qualifications:
- Experience with screening and diagnostic mammography
- Proficiency in the use of Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) approved School of Radiologic Technology
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Radiology (R)
- California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license in Radiography and Mammography
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and unexpected situations
- Ability to handle difficult and stressful situations in a calm and professional manner
- Effective communication skills with patients, healthcare professionals, and staff

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with stereotactic procedures and breast ultrasound
- Mammography screening experience

Additional Information:
- Pay range: $45.20 - $68.65 hourly
- Proficient in the use of mammography and DEA equipment
- Maintains job knowledge per the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and state regulatory requirements
- Performs bone density screening as assigned
- Completes all required billing and documentation accurately and timely in EHR and PACS
- Maintains cleanliness of all radiology equipment and rooms
- Follows department timekeeping procedures
