Description

Cardiovascular Technologist

Job Summary
Assists physicians in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures, including scrubbing in diagnostic, cardiac interventional, and peripheral procedures. Provides care for adult and geriatric patients during procedures, prepares patients for examinations, and functions in various roles such as case recorder, cardiac circulator, and scrub assistant. Reports clinical changes in patient condition to the RN or physician and may perform point-of-care testing per CLIA guidelines. Ensures proper documentation of procedures, including labeling studies, recording procedure-related information, and entering charges. Maintains sterile procedures and infection prevention standards.

Required Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology
BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

RCIS certification
ACLS certification
Minimum of two years of experience as a Cardiac Invasive Technologist with diagnostic, cardiac, and peripheral interventional procedures
Ability to take STEMI on call

Additional Information

Demonstrated expertise in CVT technical skills, including knowledge of catheters, wires, stents, and supplies
Adherence to standards of performance such as ownership, teamwork, communication, and compassion
