Job Title: ORTHOPEDIC NURSE NAVIGATOR

Location: California

Job Summary:
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the joint replacement population from pre-operative class to recovery. This includes demonstrating knowledge of the principles of caring for in-patient processes/protocols, disease process, risk factor identification, patient and family education, patient experience, and community resources.

Required Qualifications:

• Epic experience required: Minimum of six (6) - twelve (12) months within the past year.
• Previous program development and implementation experience with a minimum of four (4) years of clinical nursing experience.
• Thorough knowledge of TJC Disease-Specific and other regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Proficiency in equipment and software, including Word and Excel.
• Strong interpersonal skills for dealing with clients, physicians, co-workers, and the community.
• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California.
• Current BLS/Healthcare Provider status as per American Heart Association standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Recent experience in orthopedics.
• Orthopedic Nurse Certification from Orthopaedic Nurses Certification Board or other relevant specialty certification.
• Clinical Nurse Specialist/Nurse Practitioner certification.

Required Education:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (AS).

Preferred Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
