Description

Job Title: Occupational Therapist IPR - St. John Hospital

Location: St. John Hospital

Job Summary: Evaluates and treats patients with physical, emotional, cognitive, and/or psychosocial deficits. Responsibilities include assessing patients' ability to perform independent living skills, designing and implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, educating patients and families, and planning discharges. Oversees care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association, obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer.
  • Rehab Therapist specializing in Occupational Therapy (OTR) credential from the Michigan Board of Occupational Therapists, obtained prior to hire or job transfer.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Acute care experience preferred, but new graduate candidates will be considered.
