Job Summary:

Requires the utilization of appropriate kV and mA techniques to ensure quality diagnostic CT images. Performs daily quality control calibration checks on all equipment to ensure proper functionality before patient studies. Administers radioactive material injections as per physician orders and prescribed protocols. Observes department documentation policies, including logs, manuals, charge documents, and equipment problem reporting. Conducts quality control, quality assurance, and safety tests while adhering to radiation safety guidelines (ALARA principle). Maintains, develops, and retrieves patient films and electronic data for Radiologist interpretation. Orders and verifies patient-specific radiopharmaceutical doses, ensuring compliance with policy and procedure. Performs CT procedures according to prescribed protocols, exercising judgment to assess and respond to patient needs before, during, and after visits.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of a JCERT-approved School of Radiologic Technology
• New York State License (L.R.T)
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Certified)
• ARRT certification in Radiography and CT
• BLS certification
• At least 1 year of CT experience
