Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This includes planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs. The RN identifies patient needs, determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, and develops individualized care plans. Responsibilities include performing therapeutic nursing interventions, managing patient care, and documenting care based on standards of practice. The RN advocates for evidence-based practices, provides patient-centric care, and may float to units within competency as required. This role is specific to the Cardiac Vascular & Post-Surgical Stepdown Unit.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years prior RN experience in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry (MS/Tele) unit in a major acute care hospital setting.
• Strong MS/Tele background.
• Neuro experience.
• Epic charting experience.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).
• ACLS-AHA certification.
• NIHSS certification.
• BLS-AHA certification.
• CEU Contact Stroke 4 Hours certification.
• Telemetry certification.
• New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Ventilator experience.
• Post-cardiac surgery experience.
• Post-surgical experience.
