Cardiovascular Technician

Job Summary
As a Cardiovascular Technician, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians during cardiac procedures. Responsibilities include monitoring patient blood pressures, interpreting intracardiac pressures, and maintaining detailed records of procedures using specialized equipment. You will calibrate and operate devices such as the intra-aortic balloon pump, cardiac output monitors, and defibrillators. Additionally, you will assist in emergency situations, perform resuscitation measures, and ensure the lab is stocked and equipment is maintained. This role requires adaptability to new technologies and procedures introduced in the Cardiac Cath Lab.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite
• High School Diploma or GED

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assisting nursing staff with patient transport and setting up sterile fields for procedures.
• Must be able to operate power injectors for dye contrast injections and assist in cardiac catheterizations.
