Job Title: CT Scan Technologist CWR
Location: Not specified
Contract Length: Sun-Thursday 4pm-12:30am (Friday & Saturday OFF)
Job Summary:
The Cat Scan Technologist performs computer tomography procedures and related techniques, producing sectional and three-dimensional images for interpretation. This role also involves assisting with interventional and therapeutic procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high standards of care.
Required Qualifications:
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology and radiological positioning of the human body.
• Understanding mechanical attributes of CT software and hardware.
• Thorough knowledge of PACS system.
• Maintains CEU Credits.
• ARRT (CT) certification within twelve months of hire.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within three months of hire.
• Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License.
• ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license required.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Six months CT experience.
• Knowledge of Epic and any HIS/RIS system added by the hospital.
• ARRT certified R.T. (CT) license preferred.
Additional Information:
• Responsible for scheduled shifts including holidays and weekends.
• Overtime as needed to provide continual quality patient care.
• On-call assignments as needed per Department of Radiology policy.
• Adheres to the policy of Employee ID, Standards of Behavior, Attendance, and Punctuality.
• Lifts a minimum of 25 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 50 lbs., and stands a minimum of 6 hours a day.
• Identifies the needs of the patient population served and modifies and delivers care specific to those needs (e.g., age, culture, language, hearing and/or visually impaired).
• Communicates with the patient, parent, and/or primary caregiver(s) at their level (developmental/age, educational, literacy, etc.).
• Adheres to the standards identified in the Medical Center’s Organizational Competencies and Standards of Behavior.
