Radiologic Technologist-Computed Tomography Job Summary Under general supervision, specializes in the performance of computerized tomographic radiological procedures on patients. May perform general diagnostic radiology examinations. Performs related duties as required. Required Qualifications  <ul><li>High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.</li><li>Must maintain required hours of continued medical education.</li><li>BLS certification.</li><li>Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the advanced registry in Computed Tomography (CT) or registry-eligible.</li></ul> Additional Information  <ul><li>May work in the hospital with a fixed unit or in an ambulatory Mobile Unit at one of the Medical Centers.</li><li>May be potentially exposed to radiation if proper precautions are not utilized. May be exposed to high-voltage equipment.</li><li>May be exposed to potentially contagious patients.</li><li>Occasionally may lift and/or move equipment and/or patients that would be in excess of 10 lbs.</li></ul>
