Job Summary: The Registered Respiratory Therapist, under the supervision of the Director of Respiratory Services, Technical Supervisor, and Shift Supervisors, provides and administers all aspects of Respiratory Care Therapy and supportive equipment as stated in the Department Policy and Procedure Manual. Responsibilities include providing respiratory therapy under medical direction, performing intubation assistance, ventilator setup and management, patient-specific disease education, and consultations with healthcare professionals. The role also involves developing rapport with patients and caregivers, documenting education provided, and adhering to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited program in Respiratory Therapy.
• BLS - AHA certification.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification.
• Current and valid New Jersey Respiratory Care license.
• Current and valid NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ year of recent experience working as a licensed RRT.
• 1+ years of ICU experience.
• Previous experience with ventilators.
• Willingness to float to adult ICU areas, intermediate care, and basic intermediate care floors.
