Sterile Processing Associate II

Job Summary
Sterile Processing Associate II (SPD Technician II) is responsible for cleaning, decontaminating, and sterilizing general and specialty surgical instruments, power equipment, and endoscopes. The role includes preparation and packaging of instruments, quality control testing, monitoring sterilization equipment, maintaining records, and dispatching surgical cases. The technician must have knowledge of surgical instrumentation and be able to assemble surgical trays using count sheets. Additional duties may include answering phones, cleaning, stocking, transporting, and dispensing supplies and equipment.

Required Qualifications
  • CRCST certification.
  • 1-2 years of sterile processing experience with specific competencies achieved.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or move supplies and equipment with or without assisted devices.
  • Capability to handle chemicals and detergents.
  • Proficiency in operating automated and technical equipment.
  • Physical stamina, manual dexterity, visual and aural acuity to perform job responsibilities.
  • Intermediate MS Office skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with knowledge of reading, writing, and math.

  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays.
