Description
Travel Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Critical Care / CTICU | $2808 weekly (Stipend package option available to help maximize your take-home pay) | 36 hours/week
We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Critical Care RN to join a high-acuity Cardiothoracic ICU (CTICU) team. This role requires strong clinical expertise in managing complex cardiac surgical patients, including immediate post-operative (“fresh heart”) cases.
Job Details:
Location: Utica, NY
Contract Duration: 13 weeks with possible extensions
Shift: 12 hour NIGHTS
75 mile radius rule- TRAVEL
WILL ACCEPT LOCALS AT A REDUCED RATE (less than 75 miles)
Responsibilities:
Provide critical care to patients recovering from cardiothoracic surgeries
Manage high-acuity conditions such as cardiogenic shock, abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA), and post-cardiovascular surgical cases
Deliver specialized care for fresh heart (immediate post-op open heart) patients
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and patient management
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of CTICU / Cardiovascular ICU experience
Recent experience with fresh hearts is REQUIRED
Travel experience REQUIRED
Active RN license
Current certifications:
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
Experience with Epic EMR REQUIRED
