Description

Travel Respiratory Therapist | $2419 | (Stipend package option available to help maximize your take-home pay) | 36hours/week

We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our team for an ASAP start. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise in ventilator management, acid-base balance, and critical care respiratory support.

Schedule & Shift
Night Shift: 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM
12-hour shifts
6-week assignment
ASAP start required

Responsibilities
Establish and manage patient ventilator settings using metric measurements and advanced principles of volume, flow, pressure, and time relationships
Assess and respond to acid-base and electrolyte imbalances, recognizing implications of life-threatening situations
Provide comprehensive respiratory care and support to critically ill patients
Monitor patient response to therapy and adjust treatments accordingly
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Document all treatments and patient care accurately

Requirements
Graduate of an AMA accredited school for Respiratory Care
Active NY State license
CRT Certified by National Board for Respiratory Care
RRT Registered by National Board for Respiratory Care
BLS certification required
Must reside within a 100-mile radius of the facility
Immediate availability for ASAP start
Knowledge of acid-base/electrolyte relationships and implications of life-threatening situations

Preferred Qualifications
ACLS certification
NRP certification
PALS certification
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
