Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Travel MRI Technologist to join a fast-paced imaging environment. The ideal candidate is confident working independently, proficient with cardiac imaging, and experienced with advanced MRI equipment.
Required Qualifications
Must be proficient with Cardiac MRI
Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
ARRT (MRI) – Required
BLS (AHA) – Required
Epic experience – Required
Experience with GE and Siemens 1.5T & 3T scanners – Required
Ability to work independently in a high-volume setting
Essential Responsibilities
• Prepare and position patients for MRI exams, including setup of coils, monitoring devices, and equipment
• Screen patients and personnel for ferrous metal implants and contraindications
• Select and implement appropriate pulse sequences; document all sequences used
• Recommend protocol adjustments or additional imaging to enhance diagnostic quality
• Evaluate images for quality, completeness, and diagnostic accuracy
• Manipulate and process images for physician review
• Transfer images to PACS, verify exam completion, and ensure timely documentation
• Develop and maintain working knowledge of PACS capabilities
• Initiate IV access for contrast studies; monitor patients for contrast reactions and respond appropriately
• Address patients’ physical and emotional needs with clear communication and reassurance
• Monitor patient condition during exams and report changes promptly
• Maintain accurate records, statistics, and billing documentation per hospital and DPH requirements
• Participate in teaching and mentoring of MRI students and technologists
• Engage in ongoing education and professional development
